A huge thank you, from the organising group, to everybody who helped to make Village Day such a success
We have had such positive feedback, which makes it all worthwhile
But events like this can’t happen without help and support from a large number of people – thank you to all of you
Village Day is intended as an enjoyable day for everyone in Langford rather than as a fund raiser
That said, we did end up making a £1000 surplus
So £500 is going to the Cricket Club to help with their fund-raising, while the rest is being retained as a float for the next Village Day
The idea is to have Village Day every other year, so the next one in 2023
Meanwhile next summer we will be doing something different to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee – more on that to come
