Langford’s other pub! The Crown, opposite the Village Hall, from a great photo taken by Mark Skinner in 1988 not long before before the pub closed.

The landlord sold the barn in the background to his daughter for a nominal sixpence – she converted it and called it Sixpenny Cottage. Ten years ago it was renamed The Barn.

Even further back of course there were up to five pubs in Langford. Lockey House was a pub called the Cotswold Arms.
