We plan to produce an illustrated charity Langford Calendar for 2020, with the theme for the calendar photographs being Pets and Animals.
To select the 12 calendar we are holding a calendar competition. We would love as many people as possible to submit their photos based on the theme of “pets and animals”.
To make things fair entries will be classified in 3 age categories – Child (aged 11 or under), Young Person (aged 12-16), and Adult. We hope very much that lots of children from ST Christopher’s become involved.
Here are the rules of the competition:
- Entries need to be photos genuinely taken by the person submitting them
- Individuals can make as many entries as they want
- There is an entry fee of £1 per photo (to cover the costs of printing and display boards) – we will come and collect the money from you
- Simply email your photos to calendar@kempsyard.uk – we will organise the making of prints
- In your email please give your name and address and say if the entry if for “child”, “young person” or “adult”
- The last date for entries is May 24, 2019
The entries will be displayed in an exhibition in the Village Hall during weekend of June 8/9, as part of the wider Langford Arts Festival being held at the same time. All the entries will be displayed anonymously
To select the 12 calendar photos we will ask all the visitors to the exhibition to say which are their 3 favourites – the 12 most voted for entries will be used for the calendar (and entries from all three age categories will be represented)
The result of the competition will be announced at the Village Hall at 4.00pm on Sunday June 9
