Open Gardens 2018
Here we look back at the Open Gardens in 2018
2018 REPORT
I thought you might be interested to know the complete results of the recent Open Gardens Sunday on June 10th. My thanks to all those who opened their gardens, 25 this year, and to all who volunteered their time to support the day.
A total of £5835 was raised. There were 486 paying visitors and £2916 has been sent to the NGS charities – Macmillan Nursing, Marie Curie, and Multiple Sclerosis. Money raised from Teas, Plants, Cakes and the Raffle go to St Matthew’s. This year the total was £2919, a tremendous total which reflects a huge amount of effort and community spirit.
My warmest thanks to everyone in the village who opened their gardens, volunteered support with Teas, Plants, Cakes and the Raffle stalls and also at the Car Park or who just came along to visit the gardens and enjoy the atmosphere. Thanks also to Colin Harris for providing the Car Park, The Bell Inn, The Cotswold Woollen Weavers, Garden Trading and all the other generous donors to the Raffle which was one of our most successful ever.
