REPORT ON LAF 2023

Our third Langford Arts Festival in June was a great success – huge thanks to all the people who helped in many different ways to make it such a lovely event. The weather was on our side and the village was looking its best.

We had 65 artists exhibiting -40 in the church, with the rest mainly at Pember Thatch and garden, and a few at the LAF Café in the Village Hall. The Art in Action pavilion at the Grange was a huge success with people of all ages involved in various artistic endeavours.

Over the weekend we had over 800 visitors, and the feedback we’ve received has been really positive (as it also has been from the artists involved).

We are delighted to have reached our targets both for the sales of art, and for the final amount of money raised. Art sales totalled over £20,000, and the final sum raised, after all costs, was just over £6000 – a magnificent effort.

The LAF committee has decided to split the £6000 into two equal donations – half to the St Matthews Fabric Fund to help maintain the church which is the centrepiece of LAF, and half to Langford Cricket Club to help them with the fundraising for their new pavilion.
