Save the date!  Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th June 2019

We will be welcoming artists, photographers and sculptors to Langford for the very first Langford Arts Festival in Summer 2019.  We hope to make this a thoroughly enjoyable annual event, to be enjoyed by all and featuring great contemporary art for all tastes.

Exhibition and arts fair

The festival will include an exhibition and arts fair of contemporary artworks: paintings, photographs, sculpture, ceramics and jewellery from artists, many of them local, who will have their works on display and for sale in St Matthews Church, and in the Village Hall.  Car parking will be free, and there will be a raffle.  There will be opportunities to join in and have a go at making your own art, including pottery, printmaking, and painting, and to see and take part in art in action.

Food and drink

Lunches, teas and drinks will be available at the Village Hall, and there will be a free car park.

The Langford Calendar photographic competition

We will be holding a competition for young people to inspire us  with “Pets and Animals”.  There will be three categories: Primary School Age, Secondary School Age, and Adults, and entries will be judged during the Arts Festival by visitors. The winning 12 photographs will be featured in the Langford Calendar 2020.

Would you like to exhibit?

Contact Ginny Bushell 01367 860531 or 07585 703254, or email her at virginia.bushell@gmail.com  for more information, or see our website (coming soon!)  As an exhibitor, you may book your own stand to exhibit and sell your work, or you may just want space for one painting.  We would love to hear from you.  We plan to offer exhibition space for larger sculptures in suitable settings outside.  Whatever medium you create your work in, whether in two or three dimensions, big or small, we should be delighted to hear from you.

Would you like to offer an activity?

The aim is both to raise funds for the village, (through the Church and the Village Hall), and to have fun! If you can help with an opportunity to create something a little bit wonderful, please get in touch!  Call Ginny Bushell: 07585 703254

Would you like to be a patron?

We need lots of help, and if you are interested in becoming a patron of the Langford Arts Festival, please contact Denise Kemp for more information about how your help will benefit both us and you.  Patrons and sponsors will be acknowledged in our catalogue, which will be the equivalent of an entry ticket for all visitors.  We hope to  have lots of visitors!
